THE SAFE, INSULATING LIGHTWEIGHT

Multi-wall insulating synthetic panels are regularly used in the greenhouse construction. We distinguish chiefly between two types of synthetic material:

1. polycarbonate excels in a low weight per surface unit, difficult to inflame and easy to process.
2. Acrylic resin (PMMA) does not yellow, does not become brittle and is extremely resistant to hail.

As an expert in horticultural glass, Van Looveren NV is also perfectly aware of these synthetic products.

Both the multi-wall polycarbonate - as acrylic resin panels can be supplied in all available standard sizes or cut to size. Depending on their thickness (4 mm to 32 mm), the panels are available as double-walled to quintuple-walled and with vertical or framework partitions.

Besides the flat panels, Van Looveren NV also offers a large choice of corrugated and venous panels. These thin panels (0.8 mm to 1.1 mm) excel in their high light transmission and their low weight.

During the production, all the above-mentioned panels can be provided with different coatings by means of co-extrusion. The most well known is the UV protection layer, but there are other options, such as heat-reflecting and condensation-limiting layers.

There is also an extensive choice of different colour possibilities, such as clear, opal, bronze, etc.

Because of the relatively low own weight of these synthetic panels, we are able to optimise your combined (synthetic and horticultural glass) deliveries. This can only have a positive effect on the price of both products.
